The Aga Khan Garden features intricate cast panels inspired by traditional Islamic designs. The panels combine state of the art digital technology in a unique formmaking and casting process designed and developed by Fine Concrete. This process embraces modern tools and formulas to produce elements that have enduring tactile quality and characteristics of the handmade. Elegant benches with 10’ long clean spans are interspersed throughout the garden.

The Aga Khan Garden, Alberta is a symbol of the ongoing partnership between the University of Alberta and the Aga Khan Development Network-a collaboration that has fostered intellectual, cultural and education exchange for over a decade.
